Access to Work-funded coaching

Current introductory rate

£50

Per 60-minute coaching session.

The current Access to Work coaching rate is the same underlying introductory rate as the self-funded package.

Access to Work awards are individual, so the number of sessions or amount of support agreed will depend on your award rather than Rora requiring a particular package.

If coaching has been approved as part of your Access to Work support, get in touch and I can confirm the practical arrangements with you.

Why six sessions?

Rora Coaching is offered as a six-session package rather than a series of unrelated one-off appointments.

That gives us time to understand what is happening, identify recurring patterns and friction, try practical approaches between sessions and refine them from what happens in real life.

It is still a defined commitment rather than open-ended coaching.

At the sixth session, we review the work together. If there is a clear purpose for continuing, up to six further sessions can be agreed, but there is no expectation that you continue.

What is Access to Work?

Access to Work is a government programme that can contribute towards practical support if a disability or health condition affects your ability to do your job.

ADHD is included among the conditions that may be eligible, and you do not need a formal ADHD diagnosis to apply. Eligibility depends on how your disability or health condition affects your work and your individual circumstances.

Access to Work is available to eligible people living and working, or about to start or return to work, in England, Scotland and Wales. Northern Ireland has a different system.

Paid work can include employment and self-employment, subject to the scheme's eligibility requirements.

Can Access to Work fund ADHD coaching?

Access to Work can provide financial support for agreed workplace support.

What it funds, how much it contributes and the period covered are set out in the individual award decision.

If ADHD coaching is included in your award, Rora Coaching can work with Access to Work-funded clients.

Applying does not guarantee an award or that coaching will be included in the support agreed.

Applying for Access to Work

You can apply directly to Access to Work.

The application asks about your work, how your condition affects you at work and what support you think you need.

Rora has a free step-by-step guide to help you understand the process and prepare the information you may be asked for.

Waiting for an Access to Work decision?

You do not need Access to Work funding in order to use Rora Coaching.

You can choose to self-fund coaching while an application is pending.

Rora does not promise that sessions paid for before an award will later be reimbursed. If Access to Work funding is important to whether you can proceed, it is sensible to wait until you have received the decision before committing to funded coaching.
